The walking was a joy and all our thanks go to Nick who once again planned three excellent days out to suit all of us.
On our first arrival day we set off from Simonsbath for a shorter walk through the surrounding countryside and forest. The second day was a walk along some part of the two moors way (Exmoor -Dartmoor) which was splendid.
Day three started wet. What do mileaters do when it’s wet? They find a good pub until it blows over and then they walk. Which is exactly what we did, we holed up in Countisbury and then in brightening weather walked to Lynmouth via the coastal path. Absolutely stunning views and a great walk.
Three days of friendship and fun with some excellent walking… what more can a person want?
A tip, get in early for next year at Ross on Wye!

"As most of the mileaters know, Ann Priddle has gone into rehab therapy and counselling up in the Lake District after her encounter with Gerald Duke at a kissing gate on Exmoor – where upon he clutched her face with both hands and proceeded to suck face for a good 30 seconds.
Once released she almost returned her breakfast and felt quite ill for the rest of the day. Needless to say everyone came to future kissing gates after Gerald had gone through!
We wish Ann well and hope she recovers soon."
