ST MICHAEL’S, WINTERBOURNE STEEPLETON
The situation to date... the damage to the ceiling of St Michael’s church has been examined by the church architect and assessed as repairable, much to our relief. The architect has written the technical specification and we now await the costings of the contractor for doing the work.
It is not possible at this stage to forecast when the building will be open again but I am hopeful that it may be late Spring/early Summer.
More news to follow as things develop.

OUTCOME OF THE PASS-IT-ON CAMPAIGN
Although the Pass-It-On campaign of October/November 2017 did not complete until past the deadline for the last edition it is worth publishing the results. Across the Parish as a whole, planned giving rose by 18% and together with one-off donations the total rose by 29% – compared with the equivalent figures for the 2012 PIO campaign. This result is enormously encouraging and will allow the focus of the church to be where it should be, on the communities it serves. It could not have been achieved without peoples’ generosity and the time and legwork of those circulating the packs – thank you very much to everybody concerned.
