Notice regarding suspension of all church services

In view of the developing situation with the Coronavirus and latest advice we are all receiving, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all church services until further notice.

St Martin's Church will remain open during the usual day time hours for anyone wishing to visit.

This Sunday, March 22nd is Mothering Sunday. Allen Knott will be available in St Martin's Church between 11.00 and 11.30 am to serve communion (bread only) if anyone wishes to come.

We will keep you updated with any further developments via Church Notice Boards and social media.

Over the next couple of days, we are planning to set up a table in the church with puzzles, books etc on it so that those who are having to socially distance themselves have an additional resource of things to do. Feel free to exchange/add items or just to borrow for enjoyment.

The damaged ceiling has been repaired, thanks to grants from the Dorset Historic Churches Trust and Erskine Muton Trust.

The repair work was done by DJ Chutter Ltd and is virtually indistinguishable from the original, so well has it been done. The building is back in use and the previous pattern of services has resumed, ie Holy Communion at 1100 on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
