WI Garden Club
A really helpful group of garden club members came along to my garden and did a bit of weeding which was greatly appreciated by me. Their reward was Pimms, strawberries an ice cream and Viennese fingers.

On a warm June evening 16 members went along to a private shop at Hotters. The manageress Tracey had laid on drinks and nibbles and most members managed to buy the shoes they wanted with a nice discount and a free gift of a bag and a pair of socks to test out and give feed back on.

WI trip to Andy and Carol Whitty's garden
On a rather gloomy June morning 15 hardy WI garden club members went for a look around The Whitty’s garden up at North Rue lane. Absolutely breath taking What an amazing place so much work has gone into making what we saw today.
It was just a field when they moved in some 40 years ago. We are very thankful they let us loose to look round, marvellous.

Martinstown WI celebrate their 75th birthday
At the WI Christmas party this year we had a double celebration as it is our 75th Birthday. So in true WI style we had wonderful food and a glass of fizz. During this year our craft group have been very busy making a new banner. This banner was revealed at our party, and it is stunning. Of course, no party is complete without games, so the Tie break was won by Katie. Instead of one person making a birthday cake we wanted every member to contribute, so during the evening every member was asked to decorate a couple of cupcakes. These were then put together to form a colourful 75.
Happy Birthday Martinstown WI.

WI trip to Sherbourne
On a very very wet day 9 WI ladies ventured out to Castle gardens garden centre for a spot of shopping and of course lunch. After which we headed off to Sherbourne Abbey for the annual Dorset WI carol service, which is a lovely way to start the festive season. The drive back wasn’t so festive in the pouring rain.
Merry Christmas to all...
